Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an innovative project focused on building a next-generation data platform for unstructured data intake and analytics.

You will be working on a GenAI-enabled platform that supports document processing, knowledge extraction, and advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using Python and Databricks (batch/realtime)
• Integrate data from multiple sources into the client platform.
• Maintain and extend the Analytical Database and the software ecosystem around it.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver or enable data products that meet business needs on time.
• Identify technical debt and continuously improve the platform. 

Requirements:

Must have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software or data engineering, including 1+ years in a senior or technical lead role.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Python, Databricks, and PySpark.
• Proven experience in data analytics platform solutions, preferably in Azure or similar cloud environments.
• Experience designing modular, reusable, and scalable system components.
• Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Medallion architecture or equivalent data design patterns.
• Ability to clarify business requirements and translate them into engineering tasks.
• Proactivity in identifying and solving problems.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English

Nice to have:

• Databricks certification
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates)
• Experience in MLOps and automation of data pipelines.
• Experience with Kubernetes (k8s) or other container orchestration tools.
• Requirements engineering know-how.
• Prior project engagement with client.
